But Photographers are human too...

While shooting my last wedding I started to think about some things. I was wondering things like, "is it really necessary to have this camera glued to my eye from the beginning of the ceremony to the end of the reception" or "Gosh im starving, I wonder if anyone will think its odd if I put my camera down to eat some of these mountains of yummy food" (wedding cake is my favorite desert! lol). So it got me thinking, and I decided to make a List of 10 things photographers do at your wedding, because they are human.

10 things photographers do at weddings, because they are human:

1. WE HAVE BLADDERS! though we may try not to act like it lol. We will escape to the bathroom every once in a while.

2. We get hungry! Especially if we have been shooting for 3 hours prior.  Even if its a plate dinner and there arent enough spots at the tables, its always nice to offer a few scraps to your hungry photographer.

3.  We can get jiggy with it! (ok so this one is debatable) Dont be surprised if you see your photographer has ended up in the middle of the dance floor doing the Wobble. :)

4. We (occasionally) miss things. Though we may try our hardest not to. But if you dont end up with that photo of you and your great aunt Peggy, please dont be too upset.

5. We take breaks. Dont be alarmed if your photographer is sitting down relaxing their feet, while everyone is dancing. They most likely already have 2 million photos of that anyways.

6. We will ask questions. Ex, "When are the toasts?", "In what order is the wedding party walking?", "When are you cutting the cake?", "Why is the best man break dancing, shirtless?".

7. We will get tired. If a photographer yawns at your wedding, we arent bored, just a little sleepy. Photographers never get enough sleep anyways.

8. We may get a little bossy. Especially when its time for group pictures.

9. We might get in your way. This applies to the ceremony. We dont mean to. We are just doing what we were payed to do.

10. We are still guests. Even though we were hired, its always nice to be treated as a formal guest at a clients wedding. It makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Picture Perfect Photography says "HI" to the Blog world!!

So I finally did it, I finally made Picture Perfect a Blogger! GO ME! Im surprised I didnt do it sooner too. There have been so many things on my mind lately, and more than once I have thought to myself  "hmmm I should really blog about that!". Well... now I can!
